about

Hell Yeah favourite My Friend Dario is back with a second volume of his Food For Woofers series after the first one made a great impact back in the summer. This latest left-of-centre collision of acid, nu-disco, breakbeat and electro comes tinged with Balearic energy and is designed simply to send modern dance floors into overdrive.

The loved-up 'Ritmo 1981' kicks off with lush chords and gentle beats all powered by an evolving acid line that takes things ever higher.
'Really Free to Be' mixes up old school basslines with fresh breaks and melting synths that bring the feels while 'Tellaro' is the future-facing electro cut doused in tender cosmic vibes.

'My Friend Ricardo' closes out with a more percussive, loose-limbed groove, prying acid and jazzy keys. It's a fusion of many different sounds that bring a different perspective to the 'floor.

Support by Red Rack'em, Front De Cadeaux, Justin Robertson, Massi Pagliara, Phil Cooper, Afterlife, Feel Fly, Ransom Note, Coyote, Luigi Di Venere, Danny Russell, Pete Gooding...

RANSOM NOTE - premiere/review
theransomnote.com/music/premiere-my-friend-dario-tellaro-hell-yeah/

"The deep acid Balearic-tech-funk of cinematic ''Ritmo 1981'' is killer, amazing keys and guitar is serving an intoxicating sound, so Italian, so Mediterranean, real alternative Balearica. ''Really Free to Be'' is raving as its breakbeat takes on early nineties crazy dance figures and My Friend Dario's guitar slow-down the mood as proving a Spaghetti Western on Balearic Beat reminiscent use along all the space-funk around. ''Tellaro'' continues in deep ''Ritmo 1981'' Italian magic with slight electro fantasy background while on ''My Friend Ricardo'' which is running out the release, My Friend Dario is diving into a classical piano melody without losing his fantastic deep and acid house madness."
